A daredevil climber known for scaling tall buildings died last month in a fall, his girlfriend confirmed.
Wu Yongning climbed skyscrapers without safey equipment and posted pictures of himself atop his conquests on social media.
Wu died Nov. 8 after falling from a 62-story building in Changsha, China. A month later, his girlfriend was the first to confirm the climber's death, the BBC reported.
Concern for Wu's wellbeing grew after he stopped posting updates in November, although some people criticized him for his daredevil actions.
Police believe Wu fell to his death after losing his grip while trying to do pullups off the side of the building, The Sun reported. They believe he fell about 45 feet onto a terrace.
Wu was reportedly scaling the tower to earn money to help his impoverished family. The stunt was worth about $15,000, according to The Telegraph.
