Debra Messing, the Emmy Award-winning "Will & Grace" actress, is opening up about her recent 20-pound weight loss, which she credited to her new healthy eating habits.
"About two to three years ago, I made a very, very big change the way I approach nutrition,"
the 45-year-old told ABC News. "I think it made a big difference in how I look or at least how I'm perceived to look . . . I lost like 20 pounds, it wasn't my intention, that wasn't why I made the change. I made the change because I was just tired all the time. For a long time, I just accepted that was the plight of a working, single mother. You're juggling everyday."

Messing, who reportedly just finished filming the pilot for a new NBC drama series called "The Mysteries of Laura," swapped processed foods for green smoothies to get her new body.
"I grew up on fast food and candy every day," she said. "Pizza and French fries and burgers — I love food and I've always loved food. Vegetables were not a part of my life at all . . . [Now] I'm just eating really, really clean healthy foods."
Messing and Eric McCormack starred on the NBC sitcom "Will & Grace" together for eight seasons, until the show was canceled in 2006. Often hailed as the most successful TV series featuring gay principal characters, the show chronicled the lives of two best friends searching for love in New York City — gay lawyer Will Truman (McCormack) and interior decorator Grace Adler (Messing).
