Dee Liner, Alabama Football Recruit, Posts Photo With Mystery Cash

Dee Liner, the University of Alabama's top football recruit, posted a photo to his Instagram account over the weekend showing him and two friends flashing giant wads of cash, setting off a firestorm of controversy.

Liner, who appears on the left in the photo wearing a black T-shirt, posted the caption, "Me and my n—as we Ballin!!! #Day1N—as #StruggleOverWit!" along with the photo, which has since been deleted.

The picture has led many to believe that Liner may have received a payoff in exchange for signing with Alabama. The defensive lineman initially committed to rival Auburn before suddenly switching last minute to the Crimson Tide in January.






Liner responded to all the Twitter buzz with a message of his own:


Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel took some heat in January for tweeting a similar photo of himself fanning a wad of cash, according to AL.com. The picture was reportedly taken while the 20-year-old was at an Oklahoma casino.
