A man drowned in the backyard pool of Demi Moore on Sunday while one of her assistants was having a very early morning party. The actress was not home at the time and was later described as shocked by the death.
The Los Angeles coroner’s office ruled the drowning accidental, reported The Associated Press.
Police responded to the home in west Los Angeles after a 911 call at about 5:15 a.m., and the man was pronounced dead at 5:30 a.m., said Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
The name of the 21-year-old Los Angeles man has not been released pending notification of next of kin, said Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez, a department spokesman.
Lopez said Moore was not home at the time of the drowning and her assistant was having a gathering at the home with about half-a-dozen people, including the man who drowned.
Representatives for Moore did not immediately respond to requests for comment. TMZ was first to report the drowning at Moore’s home.
