Dennis Quaid Meltdown Video Just Another Jimmy Kimmel Prank?

By    |   Wednesday, 15 April 2015 10:58 AM EDT

Dennis Quaid's recent meltdown was captured by cell phone video this week, and shows the actor chewing out everyone around him on a movie set.

The 43-second video clip is laced with so much profanity that nearly none of it is quotable, but suffice it to say the 61-year-old actor was clearly fed up with the conditions he was working in.

"This is the most unprofessional set I have ever been on. This is horse s**t!" he shouts at the top of his lungs during one part of the video.

Some reporters writing about the article speculated that the clip may be a hoax or a prank, and soon fingered late night TV show host Jimmy Kimmel as the architect.

Kimmel has masterminded more than a few real-world pranks, the most famous being a YouTube clip that showed a girl twerking, then accidentally catching on fire. Kimmel's staff uploaded the video to YouTube under a fake username, and it eventually went viral, with millions wondering "What happened to her? Is she alright?"

Kimmel soon stepped forward, releasing the second half of the clip, in which he comes to the girl's rescue with a fire extinguisher. As it turned out, the young woman was an actor, and the whole thing was a setup.

On Tuesday's episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" the host addressed the accusations that he was behind the Quaid video as well, but didn't deny it.
