NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman is reportedly in talks with the FBI to work as a North Korean informant, using his relationship with Kim Jong Un to gain insight into the communist country's activity.
"I have been contacted by the FBI and I met with them," Rodman told the Miami Herald on Saturday. "They wanted to know what went on and who's really in charge in North Korea."

Rodman traveled to North Korea in February to film a basketball documentary for HBO, and hung out with Kim Jong Un, the country's despot supreme leader. After the trip, Rodman called Jong Un "an awesome guy" and a "friend for life."
Despite a string of propaganda videos depicting a North Korean missile attack on the United States, and a handful of nuclear tests, Rodman said Kim Jong Un is just a "kid" who has no interest in starting a nuclear war.
"Kim is not one of these Saddam Hussein-type characters that wants to take over the world," Rodman told reporters after his visit. "He doesn’t want to kill anyone — he wants to talk peace."
Now,
Rodman says he's planning a return trip to North Korea in August. He hopes to meet with President Barack Obama before then, but acknowledged such a meeting probably won't happen.
"I'm not a total idiot. I know what Kim Jong Un is threatening to do regarding his military muscle," Rodman told the Herald. "I hope it doesn't happen because America will take whatever actions to protect America and our allies."
Rodman encouraged U.S. and North Korean officials to get together and talk to ease the political tension, and believes he would be good at acting as a mediator.
"I've been talking to folks for years who don't get what I'm about but that's cool, 'cause once they walk away they like me," he told the Herald. "I might be able to keep folks' heads cool. We all going to find a way to get along and keep peace. Peace and love is where it is at."
