Whether he's at the White House in Washington, D.C., or hunting in the fields of northwest Iowa, Donald Trump Jr., the presiden't eldest son, continues to be one of his father's most consistent surrogates.
Trump Jr. was the guest of honor at the annual Col. Bud Day Pheasant Hunt on Saturday, a two-day campaign fundraiser for Iowa Repulican Rep. Steve King.
"Don Jr. just held court. It was just a lot of fun," King told reporters after the hunt, according to CNN.
The group of about 30 hunters bagged a total of 95 rooster pheasants before enjoying a dinner of porkchops and fried pheasant at Hole N' the Wall Lodge near Akron, Iowa, the Des Moines Register reported.
"He is a very, very good shot," King said of Trump Jr., 39. "It was a beautiful, clear day in Iowa, and the sky was so full of feathers that one could be convinced that the angels were having pillow fights."
An avid outdoorsman, Trump Jr. traveled to Iowa Friday night, albeit without his own shotgun since he was flying commercial. According to the Register, he borrowed a 12-gauge semi-automatic model for the hunt.
The hunt comes after the Friday night announcement that a federal grand jury in Washington had approved the first charges in the investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russian interference in the 2016 election.
"We didn't even bring that up because we're not concerned either," King told reporters, according to CNN. "There's always a chance of anything like the sun coming up, but no, there's no substance."
