The A&E hit reality show "Duck Dynasty" is intended to get the "message of God out there," according to Sadie Robertson, granddaughter of show patriarch Phil Robertson.
Robertson, 16, has been making a name for herself outside of "Duck Dynasty," singing with country star Allison Kraus, walking the runway during New York fashion week and co-hosting the YouTube series "The New Different: with Kolby Koloff, of "Preacher's Daughters."
"When we began 'Duck Dynasty,' we weren't starting it for fame," Robertson told
Fox 411's Sasha Bogurky for its Faith and Fame column. "We started it to get the message of God out there. We could have easily done a reality show like everyone else. But it's our faith that catches people's eyes because, sadly, it's not something we're used to seeing (on TV) these days."

Robertson told Fox 411while other young celebrities have made headlines because of bad behavior, she hopes to use her platform to profess for Christian faith.
"I think people use fame as an excuse to lose their faith," said Robertson. "Faith is obviously my number one priority and I think you need to put God at the top of everything you do."
The young Robertson is also the starting guard on her Ouachita Christian High School basketball teams in Monroe, La.,
according to MaxPrep.com.
To keep it all in the family, Jeremy Shackelford, Ouachita Christian's coach, is Robertson's great uncle and had also coached her mother, Korie Robertson.
"Sadie got her skills from Willie," Korie Robertson told MaxPreps about her daughter and husband. "I played but I was not as athletic as Sadie is."
It has not always been an easy road when the Robertson's practiced their faith out loud. Phil Robertson became a target this past December when he told GQ magazine that homosexuality, among other things, was a sin,
according to The Wrap.com. A&E suspended Robertson but reversed its decision before the start of the new season of Duck Dynasty.
Sadie Robertson told Fox 411 that she that the good created by the series has outweighed the bad.
