“Duck Dynasty” star Korie Robertson, wife of Willie Robertson, said white supremacists targeted her family over their biracial teen son who they adopted when he was baby.

Korie Robertson, who is known for vocally speaking up about the topic of racial relations and healing in the U.S., revealed that she and her family have been the subject of discrimination because of their son, Fox News reported.

The couple adopted Will Robertson when he was 11 months old, People magazine noted.

My heart ❤️ (when exactly did he get taller than me 😭) #lovehim #will

Since then the couple have become proponents of adoption while campaigning against racial issues in America.

"When our family hit mainstream and all the sudden all of America's watching, they noticed our son's biracial and we got comments and we got hate and negativity and we were actually targeted by white supremacists at one point,” she revealed in an interview last Thursday with CBN News.

“So it's just shocking and scary and sad to know that that still exists in our country."

She added that, although the country has come a long way in racial equality, the discrimination was still there.

“I can't believe people still do this, but it's always going to be shocking when someone thinks they're better than someone else just because of the color of their skin,” she continued.

"We have to stand up, and we should be emotional about things like that and we have to stand up and talk about it.”

Speaking just after the Charlottesville rallies earlier this year, Korie Robertson said in an interview with CNN that she could not understand why President Donald Trump had not spoken out sooner and more forcefully against white supremacists.

"It was shocking and scary, the fact that it seemed like he wasn't willing to call them out,” she said a day after the violence erupted during the white nationalist rally in Virginia that left three people dead.
