A woman driving outside Chicago with a tree smashed into the front grill of her car was charged with a DUI, the police department said Friday.
"A few weeks ago, a Roselle police officer saw a car driving southbound on Roselle Road with a 15-foot tree embedded in the front grill of the car,"
the Roselle Police Department wrote on its Facebook page, where it also posted a video of the stop.
"After stopping the driver, [the officer] also noticed the airbags had been deployed (apparently from hitting the tree). After an investigation, the Roselle officer arrested the driver for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Yet another reason why you should not drink and drive!"

The Huffington Post reported that the woman, 54-year-old Maryann Christy, was arrested just after 11:10 p.m. on Jan. 23.
Police had received a number of complaints about the unique hood ornament on the 2004 Lincoln and were able to easily identify the vehicle in question.
"We didn't stand there and measure it, but it was a big tree," Roselle Deputy Chief Roman Tarchala said Monday,
according to The Chicago Tribune.
Officers said the woman smelled of alcohol and failed a sobriety test. She is scheduled to appear in DuPage County court on April 15.
