It appears that the long awaited "Dumb and Dumber" sequel with Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels is finally getting the green light after Carrey tweeted a teaser photo this week.
Screenwriter and director duo Bobby and Peter Farrelly, who helmed the original 1994 comedy, confirmed in 2011 that they planned to make a sequel. A few months later it was announced that Carrey and Jeff Daniels would reprise their roles as best friends Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne and that the movie would pick up 20 years later.
Now, it seems that filming is underway after funnyman Carrey tweeted a photo of his character's iconic chip-toothed grin.
The sequel, which is rumored to be titled "Dumb and Dumber To," has been in the works for years but got hung up multiple times after studio troubles. Warner Bros. originally signed on to make the film in 2011, but
after two years the company decided backed out, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Independent film company Red Granite then reportedly signed on to finance the sequel and Universal Studios agreed to distribute it in North America.
Daniels announced earlier this summer that "Dumb and Dumber To" was scheduled to start filming in September and slated for a 2014 release date.
"It’ll be the 20th anniversary of the first one next year when it’s released," "The Newsroom" actor said on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" in July. "I’ve seen the script. It’s hysterical. We’re middle-aged. We're not pretending we aren’t. We’re middle-aged and we’re still that stupid."
