Emmy Award-winning actress Edie Falco will play Hillary Clinton in "Impeachment: American Crime Story."
The third installment of the crime drama series will also feature Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky, Clive Owen as Bill Clinton, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Margo Martindale as Lucianne Goldberg, and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones, Variety reported.
Falco is best known for her role as Tony Soprano's wife, Carmela, in "The Sopranos." The role earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Drama Series, and a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series all in the same year, according to IMDB.
Falco additionally won an Emmy for her role in "Nurse Jackie." Overall, she has received 14 Emmy nominations as well as 11 Golden Globe nominations. She has starred in various other shows including "Law & Order: True Crime," "Oz," and "30 Rock."
Lewinsky is also involved in "Impeachment: American Crime Story." She will work alongside Feldstein, Henrietta Conrad, and Jemima Khan as a producer. At the helm of the project is executive producer Ryan Murphy.
"I’m very, very excited to have Monica Lewinsky’s version of what happened be put out there in the world, and I think that she’s earned the right to be able to tell her story, how she wants to tell it," Murphy previously said, according to Town & Country magazine. "And I think her version of what happened and the facts will be very startling to people, and I think it’s important. I love and care for her as a person."
Production for the season, which will take a closer look at the events surrounding President Bill Clinton's impeachment, was put on hold prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was initially meant to air in September. A new premiere date is yet to be confirmed.
