Elizabeth Warren 2020 chants reverberated at the Netroots conference in Atlanta over the weekend after the liberal senator took aim at centrist Democrats in front of a crowd of 3,000.

In her speech, Warren slammed democratic strategists who adopted centrist positions.

It is widely believed Warren is considering running for president in 2020, noted The New York Times, amid growing sentiment that liberals had locked up the Democratic Party.

“Apparently, the path forward is to go back to locking up non-violent drug offenders and ripping more holes in our economic safety net,” she said in her speech.

Addressing a column recently published in the Times entitled “Back to the Center, Democrats,” Warren said it advocated not caring about “identity politics” and “class warfare.”

She said the Democratic Party, however, would not return to a time of welfare reform and the crime bill.

“It is not going to happen, are we clear on that?” she said.

“We are not going back to the days of being lukewarm on choice. We are not going back to the days when universal healthcare was something democrats talked about on the campaign trail but were too chicken to fight for after they got elected. And we are definitely not going back to the days when the democrat who wanted to run for a seat in Washington first had to grovel on Wall Street.”

Warren added that the Democrats were headed forward.

“We are looking ahead and we will not, we shall not, we must not, allow anyone to turn back the clock,” she said amid chants of 2020.

Speaking about her plans, Warren said she would fight for a minimum wage of $15 while also campaigning for affordable healthcare and education.
