Ellen DeGeneres' new Netflix special will debut Dec. 18 on the streaming platform, the comedian announced Tuesday on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
DeGeneres, 60, announced plans to return to stand-up last year, and shared details of her special, titled "Relatable," on Tuesday, Deadline reported.
"I mentioned that I worked a lot over the summer," DeGeneres said during her show. "What I did was I went back to stand-up. I didn’t do stand-up for 15 years and I decided… I just all of a sudden was like I miss stand-up, I want to do it. So I made a deal with Netflix. And I was working on stand-up all summer. I taped it in Seattle."
Her last stand-up special was "Here and Now" on HBO in 2003, People magazine reported.
DeGeneres showed her audience a photo of the Benaroya Hall, where her special was taped and thanked audiences for the experience.
"It was so much fun. I loved it so much. The audiences were great, Seattle was great. Thank you everybody in San Francisco and San Diego," she said.
She went on to surprise her audience members with free TVs.
