After years of not commenting on his Hollywood scandal, "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane now says he has no regrets over a nude tape featuring the actor with his wife and another woman.
The 46-year-old TV star opened up about the incident in an interview with Glamour.
"I didn’t regret it. I have no regrets nor do I make any apologies for my life experience. It’s my life experience and I am at peace with all of it," he said.
In the video leaked in 2009, Dane is seen naked in a bathtub with his then wife Rebecca Gayheart and disgraced former Miss Teen USA contestant Kari Ann Peniche, MTV reported at the time.
For years the actor chose not to comment on the scandal, but in 2014 he first broke his silence to People.
"We’ve all made mistakes. My one regret is that I got the person I love most wrapped up in all that: Rebecca," he said at the time.
Now Dane has backtracked on his comment.
"I often think about that answer I gave. And looking back now, was it a mistake? Absolutely not. Three consenting adults, one of them being my wife? I wasn’t doing anything wrong," he told Glamour, adding that the regret he expressed was likely in reference to drug use.
"Was that a mistake?" he said "Again, I don’t necessarily think I was breaking any laws and corrupting anybody. We were just three people taking a bath."
Rumors of drug abuse have haunted Dane for several years. In 2011 reports those reports heated up and the following year he left "Grey’s Anatomy."
In 2018 Gayheart filed for divorce after 14 years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences.
The actor took a step back from his career to rebuild his life, but he is back stronger than ever in the role of Cal Jacobs on HBO's "Euphoria."
