Erin Andrews Subs Justin Bieber for Tigers' Justin Verlander (Video)

Erin Andrews, Fox Sports' veteran sports newscaster, appeared to confuse the Detroit Tigers' MVP and Cy Young Award winning pitcher Justin Verlander with pop star Justin Bieber during Tuesday night's American League Championship Series Game 3.

In a post-game interview with Boston Red Sox slugger Mike Napoli, Andrews attempts to ask the ball player about his last homerun against the Detroit Tigers pitcher when she appears to utter "Bieber," than "Verlander."

"I’m here with Mike Napoli," Andrews said. "Now, your last homerun against Justin Bie – uh – Verlander."

Andrews quickly caught and corrected herself, though not before Napoli reacted to the newscaster's apparent slip, with a roll of the eye and a half second grin.

The apparent slip up was also not missed by those who caught the interview on TV, who subsequently turned to Twitter to suggest that Andrews had the 19-year-old teen heartthrob on her mind during the interview, as seen in the following tweets compiled by the Bleacher Report.

Nearly as quickly as she recovered on camera to the apparent slip, Andrews responded on Twitter.

Bieber has yet to weigh into the apparent slip up.

The Red Sox won last night's game by a score of 1–0 and currently leads the series 2–1 over the Tigers.
