'Ew!' Jimmy Fallon Teams With Taylor Swift for Teen Sketch (Video)

By    |   Thursday, 14 August 2014 07:27 PM EDT

Jimmy Fallon’s latest "Ew!" skit Wednesday teamed the entertainer with Taylor Swift as a nerdy 13-year-old, complete with awkward hair, clothing, braces, and glasses.

Fallon, whose past “Ew!” skits on “The Tonight Show” have included Zac Efron, Seth Rogen, and others, played his usual part dressed in purple stretch-top dress as Sara, a teenage girl.

In one of the funniest lines in the skit, Swift’s character, Natalie, who sported a Scrabble tile necklace spelling out her name, took a dig at Miley Cyrus. She informed "Sara" that, "My mom hasn’t let me watch television since Miley Cyrus twerked."

Fallon, though, gave a plug to “Pretty Little Liars,” claiming it was Sara’s favorite show.

Although many tweeted and posted about the skit, calling it one of Fallon’s funniest, some fans weren’t impressed.

“Not his best! This one didn't even make me laugh,” one person commented on an E! Online article.

Along with going nerdy with Fallon, Swift announced on the show that she’ll be performing live on the 2014 VMAs on MTV on Aug. 24.

She didn’t, however, comment on the livestream she has planned with fans on Aug. 18. Although Swift has been making hints about the livestream event (she posted a picture of her pushing elevator button 18 — presumably for Aug. 18), no one seems to have a guess as to what she’s going to say.

Swift’s also promoting her announcement with skywriting.
