The death of "Fast & Furious" movie franchise star Paul Walker in a car crash in Santa Clarita, Calif. over the weekend left Hollywood stunned and his co-stars in disbelief. His death raises questions about "Fast & Furious 7."
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department continued its investigation on Saturday's crash that took the life of Walker, 40, and the driver, identified as Roger Rodas. Walker was a passenger in a red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that crashed into a utility pole and burst into flames,
according to the Los Angeles Times.
"Speed was a factor in the solo vehicle collision," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.

Walker was reportedly scheduled to film scenes for the upcoming "Fast & Furious 7" this week.
TMZ speculated that production on the film, which was originally due out July 2014, will be delayed. An unnamed source told the gossip website, "No one wants to even think about the movie. Period."
Director James Wan hasn't commented on the film in light of Walker's death.
At the time of the accident, Walker was taking part in a charity event held in support of his Reach Out Worldwide organization. Rodas, 38, was an active philanthropist and an experienced racer who competed in the 10 Pirelli World Challenge GTS races this year.
Since 2001, Walker worked with with Vin Diesel on "The Fast and the Furious" movies. The most recent film that was released this year, "Fast & Furious 6," grossed $788 million globally,
according to the New York Times.
Diesel posted an Instagram photo of him and Walker Sunday expressing his shock over the death.
"Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless," Diesel wrote. "Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."
Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, another franchise star, posted a photo of the cast holding hands around a table during a scene from one of the movies.
"Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence you always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now," Bridges wrote. "You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts. @paulwalker legacy will live on forever. R.I.P."
Tyrese Gibson, part of the "Fast & Furious" franchise, expressed similar feelings on Facebook.
"At least I got to say I love you.... #OurLastExchange but our laughs and moments will live forever," Gibson wrote. "#ThisIsWorstThanMyWorstNightmare #GodiLoveYouAndiwillneverquestionYou.... But this I just don't understand #PaulForeverFamily #MyHeartHurtsSoBad please pray for his daughter and family..."
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who starred the last two "Fast & Furious" movies with Walker, asked fans to pray for Walker's family.
