'Fifty Shades of Grey': Film's First Poster Released (Photo)

By    |   Monday, 27 January 2014 06:03 PM EST

The first “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie poster shows excited fans over the weekend, showing a silhouetted picture of the popular book’s Christian Grey, with the words “Mr. Grey Will See You Now.”

In the poster, Jamie Dornan, who will play Grey in the movie, is staring out an office window, hands in pockets. The poster was tweeted on the film’s official Twitter site Saturday and has already been retweeted more than 4,000 times.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the poster appeared on billboards in five major cities: New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco and Chicago.

Like the books, the image is provocative, and probably wouldn’t be nearly as meaningful if the viewer didn’t have an idea what the book was about.

The much-anticipated movie will open on Valentine’s Day 2015, and avid fans have been watching for tidbits from the filming, where Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who will play Dornan’s love interest Anastasia Steele, are presumably heating up the set.

The movie is based on the first book of the same name in E.L. James’ erotic series.

The movie’s producer Michael De Luca told Deadline that some of the book’s sex scenes may have to be restrained for the movie.

“We’re very conscious of not making anything gratuitous or exploitive while being faithful to the stories of the book and to the fans of the book," he told Deadline. “Obviously the film can't be as explicit as the book. A picture is worth a 1000 words. So to be erotic onscreen means I think an image is going to have way more power than reading the words on a page."
