American daredevil Jeb Corliss admitted that he was overwhelmed with emotion after surviving Saturday's "Flying Dagger" stunt that saw the wingsuit specialist zoom through a narrow crack in China's Mount Jianglang.
"I have never experienced anything so hardcore. Period," the 37-year-old parachutist and BASE jumper told reporters after the feat. "I have not been that scared in my life. It was so powerful and overwhelming. I started crying."
On Saturday, Corliss jumped out of a helicopter in China's Zhejiang Province and flew through the air straight towards a narrow crack in Mount Jianglang. The fissure is about 60-feet-wide at the top and only about 16-feet-wide at the bottom.

To maneuver through the split took enormous skill and precision, Corliss said.
"It was the single gnarliest thing I've ever done in my life, without a doubt," he told reporters after the jump. "That was the single, most technical jump, from exit to going through to deployment to then turning to get to the landing area. Literally split seconds, every single step of the way. When I landed at the landing area and I wasn't hurt, I was like 'that is... impossible.' I can't believe that just happened."
Over the course of his 15-year career, Corliss has performed BASE jumps from the Eiffel Tower, the Space Needle in Seattle, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, and the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia.
But not all of his stunts ended the way the "Flying Dagger" did. In 1999 he broke his back after
crashing into a waterfall in South Africa, according to Today.com.
In 2012 he broke both ankles after hitting a ledge during another South Africa wingsuit jump.
