Fox in Jar: Clip of Russian Men Freeing Stuck Animal Goes Viral (Video)

By    |   Wednesday, 19 June 2013 10:22 AM EDT

A fox with its head stuck in a jar is the star of a new viral video making the rounds online this week.

Filmed by two men who were walking along a dirt road in Russia recently, the clip shows a red fox cub trapped with its head in a jar. The animal seemed to approach the men and one of them kneeled down to try and help.

The man then held the jar and pulled the fox out by the scruff of its neck.

The unusual interaction between a wild animal and a human warmed the hearts of the Internet.

"The fox knew he needed help!" one user commented on the Huffington Post site. "I think it's another amazing animal story."

"That is one lucky fox," another posted. "Good karma for the man too!"

Red foxes are able to live in many different locales and have been able to adapt to human environments, according to National Geographic.

Earlier this month, a Florida deputy made headlines for removing a Doritos bag from a deer's head.

Just last week in Pennsylvania, a young bear whose head had been stuck in a plastic jar for at least 11 days was freed after four people used a rope and a flashlight to remove it.
