Fran Drescher is dating the inventor of email.
"The Nanny" star stepped out Tuesday night with her new boyfriend, Shiva Ayyadurai, who reportedly coined the term "email" and developed coding for an electronic messaging system when he was a 14-year-old high school student in New Jersey.

The couple looked cozy on the red carpet at an Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences film premiere in Los Angeles Tuesday.
"He [gave] her a kiss," an eyewitness told Us Magazine. "They [were] all smiles and [seemed] very into each other and very much in love."
Drescher, 56, was last seen on the TV Land sitcom "Happily Divorced," which she co-created with ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobson. The show is based on their relationship and 21-year-marriage. The high school sweethearts divorced in 1999 after Jacobson came out as gay.
Since then, the Queens native known for her nasally voice has been spotted with younger men.
"[I've] got a lot of energy and a lot of contemporary taste in music or whatever, so
I have more in common with guys who are younger," she told HuffPost Live in 2012. "I'm trying to keep it within 10 years now. Definitely younger."
Ayyadurai, 49, holds the copyright to the "EMAIL" computer program,
which he designed in 1978, according to the Washington Post. The Smithsonian entered tapes, documentation, and more than 50,000 lines of Ayyadurai's coding into the museum's permanent collection last year.
