Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of late grunge rocker Kurt Cobain, has reached out to Robin Williams' daughter Zelda to offer support in the wake of the comic legend's tragic and unexpected death.

Cobain, who turns 22 next week, tweeted a message of sympathy to 25-year-old Zelda Williams on Tuesday.

Though Cobain was not even 2 years old when her father committed suicide at the height of his band Nirvana's success in 1994, she can surely sympathize with Williams as the daughter of a global celebrity who took their own life.

"Like Robin's [death], Kurt's sudden death shocked the entertainment world," E! Online reported.

Robin Williams, who struggled for decades with substance abuse and depression, was found dead of an apparent suicide at his Northern California home Monday at the age of 63.

Zelda Williams said this week that she was "taking a break" from social media after Internet trolls sent her fake Photoshopped images of her father's dead body on Twitter.

She further explained her decision to take a social media hiatus on Instagram.

"I will be leaving this account . . . while I heal and decide if I'll be deleting it or not," she captioned a photo of a butterfly. "In this difficult time, please try to be respectful of the accounts of myself, my family, and my friends. Mining our accounts for photos of dad, or judging me on the number of them is cruel and unnecessary."
