For years there have been rumors of a "Friends" reunion, raising the hopes of the millions of fans of the hit sitcom.
But those rumors have never come to fruition, leaving fans wondering if Rachel and Ross stayed together and what became of the other beloved character. Now, however, credible reports say a reunion special of the hit 90s sitcom is definitely in the works at HBO Max.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that talks are underway to revive the hit series, and those talks include the six core members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer. The creators of the show, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, are also in talks to come back for the reunion.
The deal is far from done, sources say, but if things are confirmed the next step would be to match up everyone's schedules.
Earlier this year it emerged that AT&T would be pulling "Friends" from Netflix to beef up its new streaming service HBO Max. The show has continued to be massively popular on streaming services.
The show is the second-most watched on Netflix, according to Nielsen.
