It's hard to tell whether digital cell phones cameras have become a magnet for fast food restaurant bad behavior or just allowing more of it to be caught, but
the latest allegedly featuring a Wendy's worker seems to be a proud continuation of the practice.
The photo, posted Wednesday on the website Consumerist.com, shows a young man dressed in a Wendy's shirt twisting himself into position under the restaurant's Frosty spout with a mouth full of the product. The photo does not have a date, identifies the alleged suspect or which restaurant it was taken.
"Listen. We understand. Wendy’s makes a delicious Frosty," said Mary Beth Quick, of the Consumerist.com. "And if I had my very own machine at home spewing out globs of soft serve, I’d totally slurp it down right from the nozzle. But using the machine at your place of employment — that place being Wendy’s — as your personal, direct-to-mouth Frosty dispenser is gross."

This is a similar incident to photo taken earlier this month when someone photographed a Taco Bell employee licking a stack of tacos in what appeared to be in the restaurant's working area. The photo went viral, showing up on numerous social media sites and the television news reports.
It also made Taco Bell administrators angry. The company issued a formal statement June 3, saying that the incident happened back in March during training and the photo was taken as part of an internal contest. The statement said the tacos were being thrown out when the photo was taken but the employee posted it on his personal social media page, against Taco Bell policy and was fired.
Taco Bell never identified the employee or where the photo was taken.
"As we complete our investigation we will work with our franchisee to implement any additional action we find appropriate to address this situation and ensure it never happens again," the Taco Bell statement concluded.
Much like the "Taco Bell licker" photo, the Wendy's photo first appeared on Reddit.com and has now spread like wildfire through various other social media sites and the mainstream media.
The BusinessInsider.com said it tried contacting Wendy's for comment but has not received an answer.
