'Frozen' Song 'Let It Go' in 25 Languages Gives It New Popularity

Disney's Academy Award-nominated song "Let It Go" in "Frozen" is riding a new wave of popularity, after the company released a video of the song in 25 different languages.

The film's soundtrack reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 album list earlier this month, making it the fourth animated movie soundtrack to reach that level of commercial success, Mashable reported. The video includes the song in various languages, including French, Italian, Flemish and Malaysian.

The original song, by Tony Award-winner Idina Menzel, is one of the highlights of the movie. Yahoo! Movies reported that different singers sang the additional languages for the video.

"This mashup of 'Let It Go' in 25 languages is the best thing ever," Joseph C. Lin, of Time magazine, wrote.

"Let It Go" was nominated for a Best Original Song Oscar, along with "Alone, Yet Not Alone" in "Frozen;" "Happy," from "Despicable Me 2," "The Moon Song," from "Her" and "Ordinary Love," from "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom."

"Frozen" was also nominated for best animated movie along with "The Croods," "Despicable Me 2," "The Wind Rises" and "Ernest & Celestine."

"Frozen" remains hot in the box office, drawing $338 million domestically since its release the weekend before Thanksgiving. It has made another $426.5 million overseas.

As a testament to its longevity, "Frozen" was ranked No. 5 the weekend of Jan. 17, drawing in another $11 million at the box office. The film beat out the opening of "Devil's Due" and "American Hustle" and "Wolf of Wall Street," which were had fresh publicity from the Oscars. 

"Let It Go" reached as high as No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and this week is at No. 26.

The "Frozen" soundtrack is a former No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, edged out this week by Bruce Springsteen's latest album "High Hopes."
