Zsa Zsa Gabor will be able to remain in her home for the rest of her life after a court-approved deal will allow her to stay in the Los Angeles mansion.
The French Regency-style, 28-room home, built in 1955, was sold for $11 million. The mansion is used as the setting of the upcoming HBO Liberace biopic “Behind the Candelabra,” which stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon. It sits on a little more than one acre with views of downtown Los Angeles, Santa Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean.
Former residents include Howard Hughes and Elvis Presley. Gabor bought the house in 1973 for $280,000.

Last week, a Los Angeles judge ruled that Gabor and her ninth husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, can remain in their Bel Air house until the actress dies or for three more years. A potential buyer must oblige to this “deferred transaction” in addition to paying the couple $325,000 a year, reports Reuters.
The 96-year-old actress has suffered a number of health and financial setbacks over the past 15 years. Gabor was partially paralyzed in a vehicle accident in 2002. The accident left the actress in a wheelchair. In 2005 and 2007, she survived strokes and underwent surgeries.
She fractured her hip and underwent replacement surgery in 2010. The following year her right leg was amputated above the knee to save her life from an infection.
According to the Associated Press, Gabor was found to be a victim of Bernard Madoff, losing as much as $10 million to Madoff’s company possibly through a third-party money manager, determined by forensic accountants.
The pair had recently turned to renting the place out as a film set to offset Gabor's medical costs. Along with the Liberace biopic, the house also appears in the Oscar-winning movie “Argo.” It has a formal sitting room with an antique French fireplace, an oversized dining room with city views, a butler's pantry off the kitchen, six bedrooms and seven bathrooms in 8,878 square feet of living space.

Gabor’s TV and film appearances include a starring role in “Moulin Rouge” (1952) and guest appearances on “The Hollywood Squares” in the 1960s and ‘70s and “The New Hollywood Squares” in the ‘80s.
