"We'll be taking advantage of all the fiction to make something great," Telltale Games chief Dan Connors said at Spike TV's Video Games Awards. "We're just really getting into it right now and thinking about characters — who has the most at stake, which has the biggest impact on the world."
Telltale was mum in November when
IGN's Andrew Goldfarb reported it heard rumors from several sources about the "Game of Thrones" game.
"It's worth noting that, while 'Game of Thrones' is the title of HBO’s series based on Martin's books, the series itself is actually known as 'A Song of Ice and Fire,'" wrote Goldfarb for IGN Nov. 21. "The first book is titled 'A Game of Thrones.' It’s currently unclear what title Telltale will be using for its game, and whether the storyline will be based on the show, books, or something entirely new."
Mashable's Samatha Murphy Kelly wrote that the video games award show played a 25-second teaser trailer but it did not tell much about what fans should expect.
