Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood are pulling up stakes and moseying on over to the seat of all country music: Nashville.
In an interview with CMT this past Sunday in Chicago, Yearwood spoke fondly of Oklahoma where the country stars spent many years.
"I have loved living in Oklahoma. It's been a great place to raise our girls, and the thing I'll miss the most is that I've made some of the best friends I'll ever have," she said. "But we'll always be best friends."
She also spoke excitedly about the prospect of her new town.

"There's an energy about Nashville that I love and I miss. And it's so awesome right now. It has a new energy that's so cool," she said. "And it makes sense because it's been a bit of a challenge to not live there and to have to fly in and out for work."
For years the couple has lived in Brooks' hometown of Tulsa, Okla., where they lived like beloved royals among legions of fans. They decided on Tulsa because it's where they could be closest to Brooks' three daughters from a previous marriage. Now that his youngest daughter is leaving for college in the fall, the couple is feeling a bit of empty-nest syndrome.
"It's been the right thing to be at home, but Garth and I both feel like the job of being home every day and going to every soccer practice, that job is coming to an end for us. And so it's time for us to do the next thing, and we're excited for whatever's next for us," Yearwood explained.
"Garth and I have always sort of been gypsies. If you do this for a living, home for us is really just where we are together," she added.
Brooks recently announced plans for his first world tour in roughly 12 years. He had previously announced his retirement in 2001, saying he wanted to be focus on raising his family.
Yearwood is also active again after many years, and is working on recording her first album since 2007 and headlining a tour that kicked off in February.
