A little girl meeting Michelle Obama at the White House gave her unemployed father's résumé to the the first lady during Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day on Thursday.
“My daddy’s been out of a job for three years and I want to give you his résumé,”
the girl, identified by The Associated Press as Charlotte Bell, told Obama at the event with the children of administration staffers.

The AP said Obama looked "taken aback" at the girl’s words, but told nearby children that the girl was "doing something for her dad."
Obama then invited the girl to the stage and hugged her, saying, "Oh my goodness."

The girl’s father, Ben Bell, worked on the Obama presidential campaign in 2012, the AP said. Bell’s mother, who asked not to be identified, said the family joked about making a job pitch to Obama, but didn’t know that her daughter would actually do so.
Bell’s gesture touched many online.
