Jesse Goins, the star of Discovery's "Gold Rush: Dave Turin’s Lost Mine," has died at age 60.

Goins was reportedly found unconscious by a crew member on set for the show on Tuesday, TMZ reported. An on-site medic attempted CPR until EMTs arrived to transport Goins to the hospital but were unable to revive him. His official cause of death is unclear however sources told TMZ it was likely a heart attack.

"We are absolutely heartbroken to hear about Jesse Goins’ death," a Discovery spokesperson said in a statement to The Wrap. "Our hearts and prayers go out to his family."

Goins' brother, Larry, paid tribute to him in a Facebook post.

"Jesse loved his Gold Rush family," he wrote on Wednesday. "I could never find the words to express how grateful to Dave Turin and the guys for the love they showed him. And for sharing and making sure the Lord and the Gospel was a big part of his daily life. He was in such a good place because of this. Love you guys."

Jamie Rawson, who worked on set of the show, posted about his memories of Goins to social media.

"Jessie Goins was a very giving and loving person I don't think I ever saw him with out a smile on his face," he wrote to Facebook. "I am glad I got to know him better over coffee on cold mornings. he loved what he did and was always willing to teach me about what he was doing and the process of extracting gold. Wonderful person who touched many lives."

Goins appeared on 15 episodes of "Dave Turin’s Lost Mine," which is a spinoff of Discovery’s "Gold Rush." In the series, he and Turin visited abandoned mines in hopes of discovering gold and turning a profit.
