A California driver who was pulled over for speeding this week was also slapped with a ticket for operating a vehicle while wearing Google Glass, the search giant's new, head-mounted computer.
Cecilia Abadie was ticketed in San Diego Tuesday for going seventy-something in a 65-mph zone, but the officer also gave her a citation because he claimed her
Google Glass was blocking her view of the road, CNN reported.

Abadie insists the device, which features glasses with a small screen slightly above the user's right eye, was not turned on.
"A cop just stopped me and gave me a ticket for wearing Google Glass while driving!" Abadie wrote on Google Plus, along with an image of the ticket. "Is #GoogleGlass ilegal (sic) while driving or is this cop wrong???"
It apparently is illegal according to California law V C 27602, which prohibits video screens anywhere ahead of the front seats unless they're displaying GPS information, a map, or information about the car itself.
On the FAQ section of the Google Glass website, the company does warn against driving while wearing the device.
"Most states have passed laws limiting the use of mobile devices while driving any motor vehicle, and most states post those rules on their department of motor vehicles websites. Read up and follow the law!"
When asked for comment about the ticket, a Google spokesperson had this to say to CNN:
"As we make clear in our help center, Explorers should always use Glass responsibly and put their safety and the safety of others first. More broadly, Glass is built to connect you more with the world around you, not distract you from it."
Google Glass fans defended the technology and argued it is absolutely safe to use while driving.
"Glass is far safer than any other means of information delivery. It is out of your view and not distracting," Aaron Kasten, who compared it to checking a car's speed on the dashboard, told CNN.
