Gypsy Willis, the Utah mistress prosecutors say was the motive for doctor Martin MacNeill to kill his wife, testified Tuesday that she moved into her lover's home just nine days after Michele MacNeill mysteriously died.
Willis, 37, claims she had a casual, sexual relationship with Martin MacNeill, 57, for more than a year before the death, but received a
marriage proposal and $7,000 engagement ring within months, the Daily Herald reported.

The MacNeills, who had eight children, had been married for nearly 30 years when
Michele MacNeill was found dead in a bathtub in the couple's Utah home in April 2007. Prosecutors argue that Martin MacNeill forced her into getting a facelift a few weeks prior, and then administered a fatal combination of medications that ultimately killed her.
He's charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice, a second-degree felony.
Defense lawyers argue that Michele MacNeill had a heart attack and fell into the bathtub. An official cause of death was never determined.
Willis took the stand this week in a plea-deal to avoid identity-theft charges — she's accused of stealing the identity of one of Martin MacNeill's adopted daughters to try and escape her bad credit.
She also testified that MacNeill invited her to his wife's funeral, texted her constantly throughout the service, and then moved her into his home shortly after under the guise that she was his children's new nanny.
The oldest MacNeill daughters testified last week that their father was very quick to bring in a new nanny that curiously didn't cook, clean, or take care of the younger kids.
Willis told the jury that her relationship with MacNeill "has been over for a very long time," according to the Herald.
