Hannah Anderson Ask.fm: Kidnap Victim Supposedly Answers Questions Online

By    |   Wednesday, 14 August 2013 06:33 PM EDT

Internet postings on ask.fm from someone claiming to be Hannah Anderson, the 16-year-old Californian kidnapped for six days and rescued in Idaho backcountry, answered hundreds of questions about the ordeal from people around the world.

The person behind Hannah's supposed account on the social media site ask.fm said her captor, James Lee DiMaggio, “deserved what he got” when he was fatally shot, NBC News reported.

Authorities say DiMaggio set fire to his own house outside San Diego, killing Hannah’s mother and 8-year-old brother, and kidnapped Hannah. She was rescued after four horseback riders saw them in Idaho and notified law enforcement.

The Ask.fm account was disabled Wednesday morning.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department and FBI officials declined to confirm that Hannah wrote the posts, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Dawn MacNabb, the mother of a boy who is a close friend of Hannah’s, told The Associated Press that her son urged Hannah to delete some of the postings on Tuesday. A friend who says she has known Hannah since elementary school told NBC San Diego she was certain it was Hannah.

Among the questions fielded was one asking whether Hannah was happier that DiMaggio was shot or whether she would have wanted to see him serve life in prison. The response: “He deserved what he got.”

While the writer shared details about rarely sleeping and constantly praying during the ordeal, she had no time for people identifying themselves as reporters.

“No please leave me alone. All you guys don’t know the story. And don’t need too (sic). You already got a lot of things mixed up. So please just leave me and my family alone so we can heal. Thank you," she responded.
