Heidi Montag, the former reality star of "The Hills" who once had 10 plastic surgeries in a day, is promising no more such operations for her because she plans to age gracefully.
Montag's 10-in-one-day plastic surgery marathon happened back in 2010 – and included breast implants, a chin reduction and a mini brow lift – and she told
In Touch Weekly magazine that low self-esteem led to many of those decisions and now at 28 she is ready to move on.
"Blogs were just starting then," Montag told In Touch about the context of MTV reality series that ran from 2006-2010. "People would write the meanest, nastiest things and sometimes I would read them and then I started feeling them. I disliked myself so much I literally chopped up my whole body."
Montag said she still feels the fallout from the surgeries and had to get corrective surgery on her implants a year ago.
"My implants were falling through," she told In Touch. "They were three pounds each so I was really miserable. Obviously, I didn't want to go back into surgery, but it was really necessary."
In a recent interview on
"Access Hollywood Live," Montag said she and her husband Spencer Pratt participated in We TV's "Marriage Boot Camp" where they tried to hash out issues of having children. Montag said she is ready to have them but Pratt has cold feet about them.
"I wanted someone to bring us to a middle ground (between) never and now," said Montag. "I think it's just scary for him. I think it's kind of the unknown like he was going to lose me a little bit and not knowing if he was capable of being able to provide for a child right now and wanting to take that step."
"I think we've come to a pretty good understanding and definitely in the near future," Montag added.
The couple recently celebrated their sixth anniversary and Montag publicly acknowledged the occasion with a Twitter post to her husband.
