Hillary Clinton's new campaign merchandise was unveiled Tuesday, and includes a t-shirt with a printed pantsuit design.
MSNBC reported that Clinton has been criticized for her wardrobe in the past, but has in recent years turned the pantsuit into part of her campaign branding – even going so far as to call herself "pantsuit aficionado" in her Twitter profile.
In addition to the pantsuit tee, the campaign store also has a stitched throw pillow that reads "A Woman's Place is in The White House" as well as drinking glass that reads "Made from 100% shattered glass ceilings."
The newly released merchandise suggests that Clinton will seek to highlight the history that would be made in regard to gender should she be elected president. The identity-based election strategy is similar to Barack Obama's, which highlighted his race.
As Politico noted, Clinton is not the first to release a slew of cheeky campaign swag. Senator Rand Paul, an ophthalmologist by training, offers a "Liberty Not Hillary" eye chart and bumper stickers on his campaign website, as well as "Hillary's Hard Drive" for $99 — a swipe at the personal email server she kept while serving as Secretary of State.
