Hillary Rodham Clinton made her Twitter debut Monday but it was her tongue-in-cheek bio that really had users talking about the 2016 presidential favorite.
"Wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, glass ceiling cracker, TBD," it reads.
The humorous, slightly self-deprecating bio appears to be modeled after the
viral Tumblr site "Texts From Hillary," which featured a photo of Clinton on a military plane wearing dark sunglasses and reading from her BlackBerry coupled with funny captions. Clinton has set the same picture as her Twitter avatar and her first tweet was directed at the two people who ran the site.
"Twitter is not a dry medium; it is not a place to be boring," Mo Elleithee, who was a spokesman on Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, told the Washington Post. "The fact that she embraced the whole 'Texts From Hillary' phenomenon, the fact that she pokes fun at those who poke fun at her in her bio, it shows that she gets this modern era of communications and is going to use that to help say whatever it is that she wants to say."
Here's what Twitter users had to say about Clinton's bio.
