David Hogg and Laura Ingraham's feud escalated this week when the Parkland survivor proposed an advertiser boycott of the Fox News host's show after she mocked him about his college acceptance status. Now she's sorry.

Ingraham posted an apology to Hogg on Twitter Thursday.

However, Hogg rejected Ingraham's apology as insufficient and self-serving in a tweet of his own, The Hill reported.

On Wednesday, Ingraham had tweeted a link to a Daily Wire story about Hogg's college acceptance status.

Hogg, the 17-year-old Marjory Stoneman Douglas student who has become an outspoken advocate against gun violence, responded to the post with a call for Twitter users to boycott the host's advertisers, The Hill reported.

It is unclear how successful, if at all, Hogg’s boycott call was, but one of the companies on his list, Nutrish, replied to his tweet, claiming it was removing its adverts from Ingraham’s program.

The article that sparked the online feud quoted Hogg, who said the turndowns were not great for him and some other “members of the movement” who had also been rejected by colleges.

“I am not surprised at all, in all honesty,” said Hogg, whose GPA is 4.2, according to The Daily Wire.

“I think there's a lot of amazing people that don't get to college, not only that do things like I do but because their voices just aren't heard in the tsunami of people that apply every year to colleges in such an economic impacted school system here which we have here in America where people have to go into massive amounts of debt just to go to college and get an education.”
