Houston Dog Stuck in Jug for Weeks Rescued, Finds a New Home (Video)

A family near Houston saved a 5-month-old dog that was stuck in a jug after trying for weeks to catch the stray.

The 5-month-old German shepherd mix was seen running around with his head stuck in a plastic gravity feeder that was open on both ends. Audra Bohannon believed the jug came from her barn, and the puppy must have gotten stuck while looking for food, she told KPRC-TV.

"Every night I went to bed thinking about that dog and I really felt bad for him having that on his head," Bohannon said.

Bohannon left out scraps of soft food, and the dog was able to lick up just enough to stay alive, said Travelers Today.

Bohannon drove around her property on her four-wheeler every day looking for the pup, according to KPRC-TV. She even tried to catch the puppy with fishing nets.

Once the family finally managed to grab the dog, they cleaned him up and named him Bucky, a nickname for bucket.

Bohannon’s brother and sister-in-law plan to adopt the pet, after checking with the vet for an ID microchip.

The family recorded the rescue, and KPRC-TV posted it online.
