According to PWInsider, Hogan has had an agreement to return to WWE since his TNA departure in October 2013. He was originally slated to return during the WWE Network announcement in Las Vegas, but the company changed those plans the night before.
It is unclear what Hogan’s role will be at the event, but wrestling enthusiasts are touting the night following the Elimination Chamber as one of the biggest editions of Raw in the history of the company.
Hogan has long suffered from back problems, after years of wear and tear inside the ring.
Because of his back problems, the star, scheduled to appear at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, La. on April 6, will not be involved in any physical activity.
“As things stand right now, while Hulk Hogan will be returning, and making an appearance in some form at WrestleMania, after being examined, the company made the call to not only not put him in a match, but not book anything physical involving him,”
a statement on Wrestling Observer Newsletter read.
Famed wrestler The Undertaker and WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy is also booked to return with Hogan at WWE Raw on Feb. 24 as well.
According to wrestling insiders, producers want to induct the entire Wrestlemania 1 main event into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. If the rumor is true, Hogan, Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper would follow Ric Flair as two-time WWE Hall of Famers.
WWE has not confirmed the report of Hogan’s return at Raw.
