The Museum of Ice Cream in New York City opened Friday, scooping up a sold-out crowd.

Maryellis Bunn and Manish Vora created the museum to fulfill Bunn's childhood dream of swimming in a pool of sprinkles, The Associated Press reported. The large pool contains roughly 11,000 pounds of confetti-colored fake sprinkles.

"No one really sees childhood ideas to fruition and I'm doing that. So that's something that's super magical," Bunn said in an AP video posted on YouTube. "It's been amazing to see everyone kind of playing."

The six-room temporary museum offers visitors a free scoop of ice cream, edible balloons, a Chocolate Chamber, and ice cream-themed works of art.

Admission to the museum, which closes Aug. 31, is $18 per person or $30 for two, according to the museum's website. Children and seniors can get in for $12.

"Guests will swing on an ice cream sandwich made for two, seesaw on an ice cream scooper and find their match/favorite flavor on a custom app in Tinder Land," the website touts.

The New York Daily News said in a review that the museum doesn’t live up to the hype it has received, specifically taking issue with the pool full of sprinkles. Apparently, the pool is only ankle-deep.

The Museum of Ice Cream is sold out, but more tickets may be released via the museum’s Instagram page, according to the Daily News.

Many Twitter users seemed intrigued by the unique museum.
