If you thought 2020 couldn't get any more controversial, you were wrong. Ice Cube has raised more than a few eyebrows this week after firing off a slew of tweets featuring anti-Semitic images and wild conspiracy theories.
Among them is a controversial image depicting a group of men playing monopoly on the backs of several black people. "F— THE NEW NORMAL UNTIL THEY FIX THE OLD NORMAL!" Ice Cube captioned the photo. At issue is that the exaggerated facial features of the men playing the board game is often associated with anti-Semitic imagery, which fans pointed out.
"Cube, this is an Anti-Semitic trope. Please take it down as it suggests Jews control everything," one Twitter user wrote.
In another tweet, Ice Cube posted an image of the "Black Cube of Saturn," a symbol associated with the occult, within the Star of David, Daily Beast noted. The 50-year-old "Check Yo Self" hitmaker also shared several images of ancient Egyptian artwork as well as a meme featuring Egyptian statues with broken noses, which was created by Russian propaganda website "Black Matters."
It is widely accepted that the noses of the statue were shot off by Europeans, however, the website theorizes that it was the pharaohs who would break the noses of the statues of their predecessors.
Ice Cube's posts sparked speculation that his account had been hacked, but the artist was quick to dismiss the rumors.
"This is CUBE. My account has not been hacked. I speak for no organization. I only speak for the meek people of thee earth," he tweeted. "We will not expect crumbles from your table. We have to power of almighty God backing us all over the earth. NO MORE TALKING. Repent."
In a separate tweet, Ice Cube added: "I will continue to keep our people motivated, informed and provide simple solutions to help solve the problems that America has caused our people. These are my acutel facts as I see it. You can take it or let it alone."
