Ireland Baldwin has clearly forgiven her father, Alec Baldwin, for calling her a "rude, thoughtless little pig" in a 2007 voicemail, as the pair made fun of the incident on Instagram this week.
Both Baldwins posed together for a home photoshoot, pretending to read a children's book called "If I Were a Pig…"
Both Ireland, 19, and Alec, 57, then posted the photos to their Instagram accounts, writing captions that alluded to the explosive incident that made headlines across the country.
Ireland wrote, "If I Were A Pig... I would be Rude and Thoughtless of course!" adding a pig-snout emoji for good measure. Alec said that if he were a pig, "I'd be rude and thoughtless. That's the only pig to be."
Ireland, the only offspring of divorcees Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, appears to be back home after spending some time in a Malibu rehabilitation center following her breakup with Angel Haze, a rapper and singer. While she was in rehab, she was reportedly attacked by three men who left her with bruises on her face, which were soon confirmed by paparazzi photographs.
Ireland has long defended her father as he's faced accusations of having anger issues, being homophobic, and mistreating her.
In 2007, the press got a hold of a very angry voicemail Alec Baldwin left his then-11-year-old daughter after she missed a scheduled phone call with him.
Clearly not doing well under the stress of his divorce and custody battle, the actor told his daughter in the voicemail that she needed her "a** straightened out," that she had "humiliated [him] for the last time," and called her a "rude, thoughtless little pig."
Ireland later
told the New York Post's Page Six in a 2012 interview that, "The only problem with that voicemail was that people made it out to be a way bigger deal than it was . . . He's said stuff like that before just because he's frustrated . . . For me it was like, 'Okay, whatever.' I called him back, I was like, 'Sorry Dad, I didn't have my phone.' That was it."'
