Jack Blessing, who appeared in such television series as "Moonlighting" in the 1980s and "The Naked Truth," in the 1990s, died at his Chatsworth, California home after a fight with pancreatic cancer at 66 on Nov. 14, Deadline.com reported.
Blessing's son, Ian Blessing made the announcement with a posting on Facebook.
Deadline.com said Blessing's "Moonlighting character was part of the Blue Moon Detective Agency, joining Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd in the third season of the series. He played a building manager opposite of Tea Leoni in "The Naked Truth," a series about a tabloid reporter.
In one of his latest roles, Blessing played George Lopez's boss Jack Powers, of Powers Aviation during the ABC comedy series from 2002–07, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
He was a popular voice actor, providing voices to characters in "Antz" (1998), "Open Season" (2006), "Bee Movie" (2007), "Megamind" (2010), "ParaNorman" (2012) and "Planes" (2013), THR noted.
Blessing appeared in the movies "Heaven's Gate" (1980), "Galaxy of Terror" (1981), "Thirteen Days" (2000) and "Talladega Nights: The Ballard of Ricky Bobby (2006), the publication noted.
He appeared in numerous television series over the years, including "M*A*S*H," "Family Ties," "thirtysomething," "The Golden Girls," "Northern Exposure," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Touched by an Angel," "Mike & Molly," "The X-Files." and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."
