Multiple firearms were seized during a raid of YouTube star and Disney actor Jake Paul's Los Angeles mansion on Wednesday.
A SWAT team was called in to assist police in gaining entry to the property in Calabasas, where authorities recovered several firearms including at least five long guns, the Los Angeles Times reported. Federal agents were also spotted leaving the 23-year-old influencer's house in an armored SWAT truck, dark van and a truck with several agents dressed in military clothing.
"The FBI is executing a federal search warrant at a residence in Calabasas in connection with an ongoing investigation," an FBI representative said in a statement. "The affidavit in support of the search warrant has been sealed by a judge and I am, therefore, prohibited from commenting as to the nature of the investigation. No arrests are planned."
Sources said the FBI raid was linked to a riot that took place at Arizona's Scottsdale Fashion Square in June. Paul, who appeared in the Disney Channel TV show "Bizaardvark," was involved in the incident and was charged with criminal trespass and unlawful assembly, Scottsdale Police Department said at the time.
Paul was present after the protest was declared an unlawful assembly and the rioters were urged to leave the area by police, according to police. Paul entered the mall when it was closed and remained there. He claimed to have been looking for people protesting George Floyd's death.
Arizona officials said on Wednesday that they were dropping all charges against Paul and two other people involved in the case.
"It has been decided that in the cases charging Jake Paul, Arman Izadi and Andrew Leon it is in the best interest of the community to dismiss misdemeanor charges without prejudice so that a federal criminal investigation can be completed," Scottsdale police said in a statement, according to KABC-TV.
