Country music star Jason Aldean’s tour bus hit and killed a pedestrian in Indiana early Monday.
Albert Kennedy of Vincennes, Ind., was pronounced dead at the scene. A police report said
“Kennedy walked out into the middle of the roadway,” ABC News reported.
Aldean, who was on the bus when the accident occurred, sent his thoughts to Kennedy’s family via Twitter and WhoSay:
“With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana. In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same."
The accident happened about 1:30 a.m. and is being investigated by police.
Aldean was on the road after a Saturday night concert was canceled in Dallas. He had tweeted:
A storm that blew in was the cause of the cancellation, The Dallas Morning News said.
Aldean’s been in the news lately for more than his music. He and wife Jessica Ussery are getting divorced six months after photos of Aldean kissing American Idol star Britanny Kerr showed up.
