Jennifer Lawrence wasn't afraid to hijack a plane intercom on Super Bowl Sunday and try to lead the Delta flight in a chant for the Philadelphia Eagles.
A video posted to the actresses’ Twitter account shows her grabbing the unmonitored flight intercom to address the passengers.
“Everybody, this is not the pilot speaking. This is Jennifer Lawrence,” she said, according to People magazine.
“It’s February 4th, Super Bowl Sunday, and we all know what that means. Can I please get a ‘fly Eagles fly’? Fly, Eagles fly! Fly, Eagles fly!”
Lawrence tried to keep the chant going to a blasé plane before a flight attendant wrestled the intercom away from her, according to Mediaite.
Referencing the movie “Bridesmaids, Lawrence got in one last quip before returning to her seat.
“There’s a colonial woman on the plane, she’s wearing traditional,” she said, per View from the Wing.
Lawrence was probably hoping for a more enthusiastic response to the one she received on the plane, but there were some passengers who appreciated her efforts.
“I knew she was on this flight because I saw her at the airport,” one traveler later told People. “They certainly didn’t apologize, so I think they were fine with it. It was just like a fun, spontaneous chant by Jennifer Lawrence that we definitely appreciated.”
Iconic songstress Pink also had Superbowl fever this weekend.
The pop star, who sang the national anthem at the Superbowl, shared a video of her brother also cheering for the Eagles on a flight, View from the Wing reported.
“That’s my brother. Singing the Eagles fight song on his flight to Super Bowl,” Pink wrote.
