The wife of Jeremy Meeks, the California felon who became an Internet heartthrob after his mug shot was posted online last week, is reportedly "furious" about her husband's viral status.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t see her at all in the cameras, because she’s upset,"
Simone Johnson, a friend of Meeks' wife, told CBS13. "She’s furious. Her man is in there and people are taking it as a joke, thinking it’s funny talking about his looks, saying all kinds of crazy things."

Meeks, 30, was arrested last week for illegally possessing a firearm and violating his parole,
in addition to other gun- and gang-related charges, according to the Los Angeles Times. He is reportedly a member of the Northside Gangster Crips, and served two years in prison for a 2002 grand theft conviction, the newspaper noted.
After his arrest, the Stockton Police Department posted his booking photo on its Facebook page, and Meeks instantly had females across the
country swooning over his baby blue eyes.
Meeks spoke with Sacramento's KXTV from prison last week, and insists that he's not a criminal anymore.
"I just want them to know that this is really not like me, I’m not some kingpin," he said.
Meeks is currently being held on $900,000 bail.
