After the birth of his second baby, Jimmy Fallon returned to "The Tonight Show" on Monday gushing about new daughter Frances Cole Fallon.
The baby was born by surrogate on Dec. 3 and was the subject of Fallon’s opening monologue Monday, during which the comedian quipped about being exhausted.
“We just welcomed our second child, which explains why our show will now be called ‘Early Evenings Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and start around 8:30 until I pass out around 8:45,” Fallon joked.
Fallon shared photos of the baby on the show and on Twitter.
Fallon, 40, and his wife, wife Nancy Juvonen, 47, welcomed their first child, Winnie Rose, in July 2013. Winnie and "Franny" were both born via surrogate.
Fallon also was featured Dec. 3 as 2014 Entertainer of the Year by Entertainment Weekly, which said, “In his first year as host of ‘The Tonight Show,’ the 40-year-old comic turned the revered late-night franchise into the hottest party in town, a celebrity playpen full of games, music, surprise guests, and good vibes all around.”
Congratulations poured out via Twitter.
