Joey Feek was photographed out of bed and bonding with her daughter last week as the 40-year-old country music star continues to push through her terminal cancer in hopes of living long enough to see February's Grammy Awards.
Her husband and bandmate Rory Feek posted the photo to
Facebook Friday, People magazine reported.
The image of Joey Feek with her 22-month-old daughter Indiana, with a link to Rory Feek's blog "This Life I Live," received more than 54,100 likes and was shared more than 7,400 times on Facebook.
Another blog post featuring Joey Feek and Indiana was even more popular, with more than 484,000 likes on Facebook.
The photos are especially uplifting given Joey Feek's new goal of living to see the Grammy's after learning that Joey+Rory had been
nominated for Best Duo/Group Performance for "If I Needed You."
She had become bedridden earlier this month, Rory Feek wrote in a previous blog post, but the couple made sure to share a last dance to George Strait's "You Look So Good In Love" beforehand.
The Feeks have been dealing with a looming loss following Joey’s decision to end her cancer treatments in late October and spend the rest of her days in hospice care with her family at her side. She was first diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer in May 2014, just a few months after the birth of Indiana.
